Associate Manager – Procurement (Grains)

About the role

The Associate Manager – Procurement (Grains) will lead data analysis and support procurement activities for Emigrain & Unipex, focusing on wheat, corn and barley. The role aims to create a competitive advantage by optimizing the supplier base, developing market intelligence and delivering effective hedging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop market intelligence, hedging strategies and correlate them with fundamental analysis (approximately 75% of time).
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to design purchasing strategies, contracts and long‑range plans (20%).
• Identify opportunities to optimise the supply chain, mitigate risk and improve contribution margin (5%).
• Align team resources to execute short‑term and long‑term sourcing objectives, ensure HSE compliance and support talent development.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in an agriculture‑related discipline; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in trading, merchandising or commodity procurement.
• Strong negotiation abilities and experience leveraging purchasing opportunities across a complex organisation.
• Technical knowledge of commodity markets, futures trading and hedging techniques.
• Proven ability to work with suppliers, analysts and internal stakeholders.
