Audit Associate (Internal Audit)

About the role

The Audit Associate will support the internal audit function of the Investment and Development Office of Ras Al Khaimah. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Manager Audit, you will help assess business processes, risks, and internal controls across various entities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the internal audit plan by completing assigned working papers on time.
• Prepare audit documentation in line with professional standards and maintain supporting evidence.
• Execute day‑to‑day audit activities for multiple clients, following the testing program prepared by the Assistant Manager.
• Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior audit staff.
• Interact with clients to ensure efficient information flow.
• Assess the design and operation of controls related to key risks.
• Organise work papers to facilitate audit reporting.
• Report findings and recommend corrective actions, operational improvements, and cost reductions.
• Resolve review notes from managers before finalising findings.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality to protect the organisation’s reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (preferred).
• 1‑4 years of recent audit experience in public accounting.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
