Audit Supervisor – UAE

About the role

The Audit Supervisor will lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of UAE clients. Candidates must be based in the UAE and possess strong knowledge of ISAs, IFRS and local regulatory requirements. The role involves planning, executing, supervising and finalising audit assignments while managing junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise statutory and other audit engagements from start to completion.
• Develop audit plans, perform risk assessments and determine appropriate procedures based on materiality.
• Evaluate internal controls, accounting processes and financial reporting systems, identifying deficiencies.
• Review financial statements for compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior auditors and other team members.
• Manage audit timelines, budgets and client information requirements.
• Prepare management letters, audit findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• ACCA Affiliate/Member or equivalent internationally recognised accounting qualification.
• Approximately 4–6 years of external audit experience in a professional audit firm.
• At least 1–2 years of experience supervising audit engagements.
• UAE audit experience is a strong advantage; experience with SMEs and owner‑managed businesses is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Practical application of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT.
• Experience with audit software and cloud‑based accounting platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
