Authority Architect (AOR) – BIM & Sustainability Specialist

About the role

The Authority Architect (AOR) will lead the coordination of all authority approvals for UAE construction projects, ensuring compliance with the latest BIM mandates and sustainability regulations. You will work closely with business, management, and design teams to deliver projects from proposal to Building Completion Certificate.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee authority submissions across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and other emirates using digital portals.
• Develop strategies for timely approvals, including exception approvals, and track progress via UAE Digital Government portals.
• Review client briefs for compliance with BIM standards, climate‑change mitigation measures and green certifications.
• Prepare and review online/physical authority documents, ensuring IFC format and ISO 19650 workflow adherence.
• Lead technical discussions with municipalities, leveraging AI‑driven data insights.
• Support design phases (Concept, Schematic, Detail, Construction) using AI, VR and generative visualizations.
• Maintain checklists, records and lessons‑learned databases for 2025 regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site inspections with drone/AR tools and assist HR in technical interviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in authority coordination for UAE projects.
• Bachelor of Architecture required.
• Certifications in BIM, LEED or Al Sa'fat accreditation preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Revit Architecture proficiency.
• Strong BIM knowledge (IFC, ISO 19650).
• Experience with AI‑assisted compliance tools.
• Familiarity with VR, drone and AR technologies.
• Knowledge of UAE sustainability and climate regulations.
