Automotive Electrical Engineer

About the role

Rida Middle East designs and supplies integrated air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions for buses, trucks and cold chain transport vehicles, and is the only OEM-certified local content provider for automotive air-conditioning manufacturers in the region. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Automotive Electrical Engineer in Dubai who will design, develop and optimise the electrical systems of these temperature control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create electrical schematics, specify components and ensure safe and reliable power distribution for temperature control systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and thermal engineering teams and support installation and commissioning activities.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in field applications.
• Evaluate new technologies, ensure compliance with relevant standards and prepare technical documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced certifications in automotive or power systems engineering are an advantage.
• Experience in automotive electrical systems, HVAC or refrigeration systems, or transport-related power systems; familiarity with OEM standards and local regulations is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely on-site and in workshop environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Electrical design and power distribution, including analysis, integration and protection of electrical systems.
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics, use CAD and simulation tools, and perform testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
