AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating and troubleshooting audio‑visual, protection, lighting and conferencing equipment to ensure a seamless guest experience at The Lana hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and maintain AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring all systems are fully functional.
• Repair and maintain electronic systems such as TV, in‑house movie and music systems, intercom, two‑way radio, projection and other AV equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools, locate causes of breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Follow preventive maintenance checklists and maintain a clean, orderly engineering area.
• Coordinate with other engineering staff and report serious maintenance issues or safety hazards to the manager.

Required profile

• Technical Trade Certificate or vocational diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanics or IT.
• At least 2 years of facility management experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an international 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience as a guest‑room technician or similar role.
• Strong communication skills in English and a customer‑service oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Operation and troubleshooting of AV, lighting and conferencing equipment.
• Repair and maintenance of electronic systems (TV, audio, intercom, radio, projection).
• Use of diagnostic test equipment and hand tools.
• Reading and interpreting building electrical drawings.
