AV Technician

About the role

Viya, the UAE's golf and hospitality group, is hiring an AV Technician for its Topgolf Dubai facility. The role sits in the Facilities Maintenance department, reports to the Facilities Lead or Assistant Facilities Lead and supervises technical assistants and helpers. The technician operates, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains all AV, electronic and electrical equipment, and attends to maintenance requests in line with departmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, maintain and repair games equipment, lighting, AV equipment and electrical installations and systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and perform new installations when needed.
• Check daily that all related equipment functions properly and carry out hands-on installation work for events and functions.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Lead on equipment defects and complete them in a timely manner.
• Perform minor repairs to furniture and fixtures and prepare requisitions for materials used by subordinates.
• Lead and motivate subordinates, manage their attendance and ensure they keep their appearance and uniforms tidy in guest areas.
• Take part in the emergency response team and help control heat, light and power equipment according to demand and weather conditions.
• Ensure cleanliness at the workplace and after work, and follow health, safety, hygiene and municipality regulations.
• Take part in evening functions and other activities supporting the club's culture.
• Follow information security policies, cooperate with audit teams and report security incidents to the IT Service Desk.
