Aviation Legal Advisor

About the role

The Aviation Legal Advisor will safeguard the organisation’s legal position within a highly complex, safety‑critical Air Navigation Service Provider environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide expert counsel on aviation regulation, ICAO Annex 13 investigations, sovereign and international air law, and commercial contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialised legal support across aviation regulation, safety investigations and contractual matters.
• Act as a trusted advisor to safety, operational and executive teams, identifying legal risks and shaping mitigation strategies.
• Interface with regulators, state authorities, external counsel and international partners to ensure compliance with UAE and international frameworks.
• Prepare and review legal documents, safety assessments, and risk‑assessment reports.
• Support the development and implementation of safety management systems and Just Culture initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) required; LLM or specialization in Aviation Law highly desirable.
• 6–8 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in aviation or transport law.
• Proven experience advising on ICAO Annex 13, GCAA/DCAA regulations and state‑level investigations.
• Strong knowledge of GCAA E‑Services, safety management systems and auditing requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
