AVP & Audit Manager, Compliance (Emiratised)

About the role

Participate and lead audits of the Group Compliance Function across the FAB Group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the UAE and other jurisdictions, and provide assurance to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of compliance activities in line with the annual audit plan, covering the FAB Group and its subsidiaries.
• Guide and train junior auditors, sharing knowledge to achieve team objectives.
• Maintain the audit universe, perform risk assessments, and develop audit programs in the central audit management tool.
• Prepare audit workpapers, draft reports, and discuss findings with management within three weeks of fieldwork.
• Negotiate and monitor management action plans to resolve identified issues.
• Monitor financial performance of audit activities against budgets and report variances.
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations and act as a business partner to compliance line managers.
• Conduct special investigations or reviews as assigned by senior audit leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; professional qualifications such as CAMS are desirable.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in an international bank or Big 4, with internal audit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of compliance functions, related risks, and Central Bank regulations.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
