AVP & Audit Manager – Operations & Support Functions (Emiratization)

About the role

The role sits within the Continuous Monitoring Cell of FAB GIA, providing data‑driven assurance over high‑risk areas that affect financial stability, regulatory compliance and operational resilience. It leverages advanced analytics, automation and integration with core banking systems to detect control gaps and emerging risks in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise Computer‑Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) and data‑analysis technologies to enhance audit coverage and efficiency.
• Design, maintain and monitor dashboards and automated alerts for real‑time control performance.
• Develop and execute continuous monitoring strategies aligned with the bank’s risk profile and audit plan.
• Perform ongoing testing of key controls and risk indicators using automated tools.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and report variances.
• Execute GIA policies, guidance notes and procedures; contribute to the development of best‑practice audit practices.
• Maintain the audit universe and risk assessments for IB, WB and Credit portfolios.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and update audit programs in the central audit management tool.
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with line managers, acting as the audit business partner.
• Ensure timely follow‑up of audit issues and implementation of corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance; post‑graduate qualification or progress towards CA/CFA/FRM desirable.
• Minimum 3 + years relevant experience with an international bank or Big 4; internal audit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of corporate relationship management, credit activities, bank and audit policies, and central bank regulations.
• Self‑directed, able to manage multiple tasks under pressure with strong analytical and communication skills.
