B2 Aircraft Engineer (with Base Maintenance)

About the role

Etihad is seeking experienced B2 Aircraft Engineers with base maintenance expertise to join its advanced fleet in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing and certifying maintenance activities in line with Etihad’s authorization policy and leading aircraft technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and that of others, ensuring tasks comply with approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time according to company procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health and safety, and airport regulations.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools, equipment, and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Provide guidance and assistance to technicians for safe and effective working practices.
• Conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, completing relevant checklists.
• Promote safety culture and adhere to the Safety & Quality Management Manual.

Required profile

• High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma/University degree.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA/EASA Part‑66/ICAO convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Base/Light Maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (e.g., Airbus A320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with valid company authorization.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork mindset, and commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
