B2 Avionics Technician - Sri Lanka Recruitment Event

About the role

Air Arabia is recruiting a B2 Technician through its invitation-only Engineering Recruitment Event in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in mid-November 2026. Candidates must be able to attend the event in Colombo; full details are shared only with shortlisted candidates. The technician assists the Engineer in avionics maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, covering inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, defect rectification and component replacement, while recording work accurately and in line with Air Arabia procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge before starting work, then carry out scheduled maintenance, test and inspection tasks, repairs and component replacements according to approved procedures.
• Ensure the right documentation, parts, tools and ground support equipment are used, and report task status and any aircraft issues to the Engineer-in-Charge.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and manage the safety of each task, including mandatory precautions, protective equipment and human factors such as work interruptions and lighting.
• Provide support to the team and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance checks, and present a professional image to external partners and customers.
• Be aware of maintenance costs and minimise waste of consumables and parts.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced civil aircraft maintenance technician.
• At least 2 years' experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years' experience in a line maintenance environment.
• Good command of English for technical communication.
• Able to obtain a UAE driver's licence.

Required skills

• Solid basic understanding of avionics maintenance theory and practice.
• Good avionics maintenance knowledge and experience.
• Competent use of specialised avionics test equipment, computers and software tools.
