Backend Developer – Java Spring Boot (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to design and build robust Java applications using Spring Boot for our client in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on creating micro‑service based solutions, securing APIs and delivering them on Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Java applications with Spring Boot, applying core Spring concepts such as Dependency Injection, IoC and AOP.
• Build and maintain micro‑services, RESTful APIs and Spring MVC components.
• Implement security using Spring Security, OAuth2 and JWT, ensuring authentication and authorization best practices.
• Integrate applications with Azure cloud services and manage CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
• Deploy, monitor and scale services on Azure, including container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Work with data layers using Spring Data, SQL databases and Cosmos DB, adhering to OWASP standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud‑native deployments.
• Solid understanding of API management, security, and micro‑service architecture.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
