Cyber Security Manager – Hands‑On Leadership in Dubai

About the role

This is a hands‑on leadership position for a Dubai‑based business seeking an experienced infrastructure security professional. You will own the security strategy and roadmap while staying deeply involved in day‑to‑day technical work.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a security strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Secure the entire IT infrastructure, including cloud, on‑premise, networks, and endpoints.
• Manage the security tooling stack: firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, VPNs.
• Conduct threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk management.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and business continuity/disaster recovery efforts.
• Implement cloud security across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and manage IAM controls (MFA, SSO, access policies).
• Drive compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS and run security awareness programs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of cyber‑security experience with a strong infrastructure focus.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS and ISO 27001.
• Hands‑on expertise with core security tooling and both cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Proven ability in risk management and incident response.
• Exposure to scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+) welcomed.
• Excellent communicator able to translate security concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate to the UAE.
