Backend Developer – PHP Laravel

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our growing development team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate writes clean, maintainable code and is passionate about delivering high‑quality, scalable web applications. Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Design and implement secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs.
• Integrate third‑party services, APIs, and payment gateways.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver complete solutions.
• Optimise database performance and write efficient SQL queries for MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use Git for version control and follow Agile development methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Available to join immediately.
