Bank Teller

About the role

The Bank Teller will be responsible for handling cash and cheque transactions, deposits, withdrawals and remote money transfer (RMT) operations at the Abu Dhabi branch of RAKBANK. The role ensures accurate cash balancing, compliance with central bank guidelines and provides high‑quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, cheque, deposit, withdrawal and RMT transactions accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Maintain zero cash shortages or overages by balancing the till at the end of each day.
• Act as joint custodian of till cash together with the Branch Operations Manager and Head Teller, ensuring dual‑custody requirements.
• Follow operating procedures, central bank regulations and anti‑money‑laundering guidelines for all transactions.
• Identify and propose improvements to work processes, customer service and operational efficiency.
• Perform branch administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and ensure proper handover before leave.
• Support business continuity plans and undertake required training for incident response.
• Serve as Branch Operations Representative or Head Teller when required, managing cash operations and optimizing cash flow.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy.
• Good understanding of banking procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with branch management and team members.
