Bar Captain

About the role

We are seeking a Bar Captain to lead the bar operations at our Sheraton hotel in Dubai. The role combines guest service excellence, stock management, and team leadership to ensure a premium beverage experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer guest questions about wine origins, vintage, and style.
• Check quality and quantity of stock, requisition supplies, and perform bottle‑for‑bottle liquor restocking.
• Communicate last call at the designated closing time and prepare drink orders according to recipes.
• Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles; handle cash, count the bank, and complete cashier reports.
• Secure all liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets and storage areas, and anticipate replenishment needs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and coaching staff.
• Ensure compliance with company, safety and security policies and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality or bar experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
