About the role
The Barge/Vessel Client Representative will act as the focal point for the ADNOC Offshore installation campaign, representing the project management team on all contractual and technical matters. Reporting to the Project Team Leader, the role requires direct liaison with the client, contractors, and internal Bureau Veritas teams to ensure safe and compliant offshore construction.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily contractor activities on offshore vessels and barges, ensuring compliance with approved construction procedures and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with ADNOC Offshore Marine Representative on all marine‑related activities and obtain necessary work permits.
- Review and comment on contractor daily progress reports, extra‑work requests, and change orders, escalating scope or cost impacts to the Project Team Leader.
- Produce daily progress reports and a final close‑out report, highlighting achievements, issues, lessons learned, and recommendations.
- Organise safety briefings, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills, ensuring adherence to ADNOC HSE standards and international codes such as SOLAS/MODU.
Required profile
- B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of offshore oil & gas experience, including at least 10 years in jacket, deck, bridge, subsea cable, pipeline/riser installation and pre‑commissioning/commissioning.
- Extensive experience on self‑elevating and derrick/lay barges.
- UAE driving licence and completion of Site Safety Induction/ADNOC Offshore trainings.
Required skills
- Offshore installation of jackets, decks, bridges and subsea cables.
- Pipeline and riser (stalk‑on or flanged) installation, hook‑up/tie‑in procedures.
- Pre‑commissioning and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Marine safety regulations (SOLAS, MODU) and ADNOC HSE/Marine standards.
- QA/QC, welding and coating processes, survey, navigation and positioning systems.
- Risk assessment, MOC procedures and work‑permit management.
