BIM Coordinator – Busbar Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)

About the role

Vertiv is looking for a detail‑oriented BIM Coordinator to join its busbar engineered‑to‑order team in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role supports mechanical design engineers and project managers by producing accurate 2D shop drawings and 3D BIM models for busbar routes in commercial and data‑center buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings in line with tender specifications and delivery dates.
• Conduct review meetings at each project stage with relevant team members to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Track and communicate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) changes to the Design Manager and project team.
• Raise and resolve drawing or specification discrepancies with the Design Manager to deliver quality drawings.
• Deliver project designs on or before the estimated completion date while adhering to H&S policies.
• Forward drawings for approval, follow up on pending inputs, and avoid assumptions.
• Maintain zero design errors at project close‑out and properly update drawing locations and output files.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a BIM Coordinator, preferably on data‑center or high‑rise building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, single‑line diagrams, blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication skills.
