BIM Coordinator - Structural

About the role

The Structural BIM Coordinator coordinates structural BIM delivery so that structural models are coordinated with architecture and MEP, meet the required level of detail (LOD) and comply with the project BIM requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural models with architecture and MEP, resolve clashes and interface issues, run clash detection, lead coordination meetings and track issues to closure.
• Coordinate openings, sleeves and builder's work with MEP and keep them modelled in the structural model.
• Review models for LOD, information content and compliance with the BIM Execution Plan, and check them against structural design drawings and schedules.
• Produce coordinated structural drawings, including general arrangements, sections and opening layouts.
• Manage model sharing on the Common Data Environment in line with ISO 19650.
• Guide and review structural BIM modelers and support modelling of foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, openings and sleeves.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of BIM experience on structural works for buildings or infrastructure; UAE experience preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English, and ability to work with clients, consultants and contractors.

Required skills

• Revit Structure, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Tekla Structures is an advantage.
• Hands-on modelling skills, working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans, and experience with model review, clash detection and LOD requirements.
