BIM Engineer - Kitchen Equipment

About the role

PlaceUp is looking for a BIM Engineer with experience in commercial kitchen equipment design and coordination to support hospitality, food service, healthcare and institutional projects in Dubai. The role covers developing and managing BIM models, coordinating kitchen equipment layouts with other building disciplines and ensuring designs meet project requirements, industry standards and client specifications. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update BIM models for commercial kitchen equipment using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare detailed kitchen equipment layouts, installation drawings, shop drawings and coordinated BIM models.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, interior designers and project teams to resolve design clashes.
• Produce equipment schedules, legends, material take-offs and technical documentation.
• Review specifications, drawings and client requirements for compliance.
• Take part in BIM coordination meetings and run clash detection with Navisworks or similar software.
• Ensure models comply with company standards, BIM execution plans and project requirements.
• Support procurement and project execution teams with accurate technical information and coordinated drawings.
• Assist in design development, value engineering and technical problem solving.
• Work with kitchen equipment suppliers and manufacturers to include accurate product data in the models.
• Maintain document control and revision management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, BIM or a related discipline.
• 3-7 years of BIM experience, including proven exposure to commercial kitchen equipment projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, food service planning and hospitality projects.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of international commercial kitchen design standards is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, coordination skills and ability to work under deadlines.
