BIM Modeler – Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

NAFFCO is seeking a BIM Modeler specialized in fire‑fighting systems to create and maintain accurate 3‑D models for complex projects in Dubai. The role supports design, engineering and construction teams by delivering coordinated BIM deliverables that meet NFPA, BS and local authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update BIM models for fire‑fighting equipment such as wet/dry risers, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, deluge, foam systems, pumps and tanks, and produce detailed plans, sections, elevations and isometric drawings.
• Coordinate fire‑fighting models with architectural, structural, MEP and other building services models, perform clash detection and resolve conflicts using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Ensure all models and drawings comply with project specifications, NFPA/BS codes and local regulations, and support the preparation of material take‑offs and quantity schedules.
• Collaborate with design engineers, estimators, procurement and site teams to provide up‑to‑date drawings for construction, installation and commissioning, and maintain accurate records of revisions and approvals.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 2–6 years of experience as a BIM or MEP modeler, fire‑protection draftsman, or similar role, preferably on UAE/GCC projects.
• Proven experience modelling fire‑fighting and life‑safety systems for commercial, residential or industrial projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud for clash detection and model coordination.
• Strong knowledge of fire‑fighting system components and NFPA/BS standards.
• Ability to produce accurate shop drawings, installation details, quantity take‑offs and as‑built documentation.
