Biomedical Engineer

About the role

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves ensuring that all medical equipment across maternity, neonatal, gynecology and outpatient services operates safely and efficiently, supporting the hospital’s commitment to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, calibrate and maintain a wide range of medical devices, including patient monitors, ventilators, imaging systems, infusion pumps and laboratory instruments.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures promptly.
• Conduct safety inspections and performance testing in line with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, calibration records and equipment inventory.
• Assist with equipment acceptance testing, commissioning of new devices and evaluation of new technologies.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical or related).
• Experience working with medical equipment in a hospital environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical device safety and performance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
