Board Member – Financial Services (Egypt)

About the role

This is a senior, non‑executive board position within a leading international financial services group. The role focuses on strategic oversight, governance and risk management for the company’s operations in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in board and committee meetings, contributing to strategic decision‑making.
• Provide oversight of financial performance, business strategy, governance, compliance and risk management.
• Support senior management in evaluating growth opportunities, operational improvements and digital initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Promote accountability, ethical conduct and transparency across the organisation.
• Contribute to the long‑term sustainability and strategic development of the company.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in banking, financial services, consumer finance, lending or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Egyptian financial services market, including regulatory and commercial landscape.
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance principles and the role of a non‑executive director.
• Previous board experience or senior executive exposure to governance responsibilities.
• Fintech exposure is advantageous.
