Boarding Officer – Port Services

About the role

The Boarding Officer supports seamless port operations by handling ship documentation, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring all husbandry and cargo requirements are met during vessel calls at Ruwais.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process ship documents throughout each port call.
• Communicate and coordinate with vessel masters, owners, shippers, charterers, consignees, and port authorities.
• Prepare and send arrival and departure reports within required timeframes.
• Attend vessel visits in line with Standard Operating Procedures and customer requirements.
• Update the WASP system and manage status changes, including Revised DA and RAD drafts.
• Coordinate cargo loading and discharge activities and ensure proper use of mobile phones hired to vessels.
• Report leads, business opportunities, and port updates to the Assistant Operations and Sales Manager.
• Assist with emergency medical cases, VIP transportation, and other ad‑hoc tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced port environment and handle multiple coordination tasks.
• Strong attention to detail for document processing and reporting.
