Business Development Director

About the role

Thunes is expanding quickly across the Middle East and is looking for elite business development directors to open new markets and close large deals. The role owns the end-to-end sales cycle for a payments network that enables real-time cross-border payments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end sales cycle: prospect, pitch, negotiate, close and activate.
• Build and convert a high-quality pipeline of fintechs, banks, payment service providers (PSPs) and digital platforms.
• Open new markets, land strategic partners and unlock revenue quickly.
• Drive conversations with founders, C-suite executives and product teams.
• Work with internal teams to deliver seamless go-lives and expand existing accounts.

Required profile

• 8+ years in B2B payment sales, with a proven track record as a hunter.
• Strong network across PSPs, fintechs, banks, wallets and e-commerce players.
• Track record of exceeding targets and closing complex commercial deals.
• Execution-first mindset: proactive, resilient and self-driven.
• Fluent English; other regional languages are welcome.
