Business Development Lead – Downstream Business (UAE)

About the role

The Business Development Lead will drive profitable growth for Bureau Veritas across the UAE downstream value chain. You will expand market presence in refining, petrochemicals, gas processing, terminals, storage, pipelines and related industrial facilities, positioning the company as a trusted partner for testing, inspection, certification and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a comprehensive downstream market map, identify high‑potential opportunities and develop annual growth plans.
• Own senior client relationships, lead strategic account reviews and create long‑term partnership and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Qualify leads, coordinate technical, legal and financial inputs for bids, lead pricing and negotiation, and ensure accurate CRM tracking.
• Deliver order intake, revenue, margin and new‑client targets while providing regular pipeline and forecast updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, energy management or related field; postgraduate commercial qualification is a plus.
• 7‑10 years of experience in downstream oil & gas, petrochemicals or technical consulting with a proven B2B sales record in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of downstream assets, project lifecycles, procurement processes and relevant UAE and international standards.
