Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding provider in the UAE since 2014, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market share in the freight forwarding sector. The role demands a strategic, results‑oriented leader who can analyse market trends, build high‑level relationships, and deliver revenue‑generating opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve company growth targets.
• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within freight forwarding and logistics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
• Lead, mentor, and support team members to meet sales objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to shape business strategy.
• Negotiate and finalize high‑value contracts and partnerships.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities to the Sales Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and international trade regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM software.
