Business Development Manager – Switchgear

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong technical background in switchgear systems to drive revenue growth across the UAE and GCC markets. The role focuses on expanding market share among utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and the wider MENA region.
• Identify new opportunities, maintain relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants and government entities.
• Promote LV/MV/HV switchgear, RMUs, ATS and panel boards through technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Review tender documents, prepare competitive bids and monitor competitor activities and pricing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the switchgear or electrical industry within the GCC.
• Established network with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants and industrial clients.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage and willingness to travel across the GCC.

Required skills

• Switchgear systems (LV, MV, HV).
• RMUs, ATS, panel boards.
• Knowledge of IEC, ANSI and BS standards.
• Technical presentations and commercial negotiations.
