Buyer - Aircraft Parts and Materials

About the role

Bombardier is hiring a Buyer for its new Abu Dhabi Service Centre, a flagship facility at Al Bateen Executive Airport expected to open in Q1 2027. The centre offers advanced MRO capabilities and supports the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio, and the buyer joins the expanding Middle East aftermarket team. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and requires relocation and establishment of residence there; relocation support is not available, and the role is open to candidates currently based in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and forecast part and material requirements and coordinate acquisition with internal and external suppliers and materials personnel
• Locate and initiate purchases of materials, tools and components through internal and external sources
• Expedite the status of external and internal parts orders and purchase orders with suppliers and inter-company operations
• Identify and schedule critical paths, assign priorities and attend departmental meetings
• Interface with supervisors, managers and other departments on critical material problems
• Maintain shortage reports, track orders and communicate status to management
• Create and issue internal orders and documents, and adjust discrepant orders or cancel line items not received or returned to stock
• Create new part numbers for site-specific parts and request them from internal suppliers
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory and manual filing systems
• Order and reorder materials, tools and ground support equipment according to aircraft delivery schedules
• Identify alternate and superseded part numbers

Required profile

• Typically 5 years of experience in aviation or a material/parts environment, or equivalent experience
• Typically 5 years in inventory planning and procurement (preferred)
• Typically 5+ years in inventory forecasting and analysis (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business, Inventory Management or a related field (preferred)
• UAE nationals are strongly encouraged to apply
