C++ Developer – High‑Performance Trading Platform

About the role

We are partnering with a leading financial services and technology organisation to expand its engineering team. The company seeks an experienced C++ Developer to design, build and enhance a high‑performance trading platform used in sophisticated financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance applications using modern C++.
• Build reliable and scalable components for a trading or financial‑markets platform.
• Work on performance‑critical, low‑latency or high‑throughput systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, product specialists and other software engineers.
• Analyse and resolve complex technical and production issues.
• Improve the performance, stability and scalability of existing systems.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing software in C++.
• Good understanding of object‑oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building performance‑sensitive, concurrent or distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles and engineering best practice.
• Experience with Linux or other Unix‑based operating systems.
• Familiarity with multithreading, networking, memory management and performance optimisation.
