This vacancy is linked to Air Arabia's invitation-only Engineering Recruitment Event in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in mid-November 2026. Candidates should apply only if they can attend the event in Colombo after being shortlisted and invited; event details such as venue, date and interview schedule are shared only with shortlisted candidates. The successful candidate assists the Engineer in cabin maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, including inspections, repairs, testing and component replacement, and records all work accurately and on time in line with Air Arabia procedures and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Cabin Appearance Engineer before starting work, understanding priorities, documentation and cautions.
• Verify the compatibility and readiness of cabin appearance components against approved standards and quantities.
• Prepare and carry out scheduled component maintenance, tests and inspections, recording defects and damage in line with approved procedures.
• Ensure tools and equipment are ready and returned in good condition, and report task status and component issues to the Engineer-in-Charge.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and provide support to the team and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance checks.
• Follow mandatory safety precautions, use proper GSE and protective equipment, and respect human factors such as work interruption procedures and adequate access and lighting.
• Present a professional image to other companies' personnel and customers, and be aware of the cost of maintenance, time and materials.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced Workshop Maintenance Technician.
• At least 2 years' experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
• Good standard of reading, writing, speaking and understanding English for technical communication.
• Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to obtain a UAE driver's licence.
