Captain Waiter

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which groups more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, is looking for a Captain Waiter. The role combines warm, elegant and professional service with the supervision of junior waiters, in line with the group's vision of responsible hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and attend guests with warmth, elegance and professionalism, building personal connections while keeping discretion and appropriate formality.
• Anticipate guest preferences and needs, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring seamless, well-paced service.
• Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, and recognize VIPs, regular customers and special occasions.
• Maintain the highest standards of luxury hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise and coordinate Commis Waiters and other service team members, delegating duties clearly.
• Brief the team before each service on reservations, VIP guests, special requests and menu changes, and monitor performance with coaching and on-the-job training.
• Lead by example in grooming, punctuality, discipline and professionalism, and ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and the kitchen.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in upscale restaurants, luxury hotels or fine-dining establishments.
• Previous experience as a Captain Waiter, Chef de Rang or senior waiter is preferred.
• Experience supervising and guiding junior service staff.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Professional appearance, excellent grooming and a strong hospitality mindset.
