Career Counsellor for Senior School

About the role

Rugby School Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Career Counsellor to join the Senior School from January 2027. Reporting to the Senior School Leadership Team, you will guide students aged Year 7 to Year 13 through university applications, career planning and post‑18 pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students through university applications (UCAS and international systems), supporting personal statements, references and deadlines.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group guidance on subject choices, careers and employability skills.
• Coordinate work‑experience placements, manage parental consents and risk assessments.
• Organise university fairs, guest speakers, workshops and careers events.
• Maintain accurate records of applications, offers and alumni contacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Careers Guidance or related field.
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably in careers or university guidance.
• Knowledge of UK university admissions (UCAS) and international application processes.
• Excellent communication and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with student data systems.
• Familiarity with Unifrog or similar platforms.
