About the role
The Cashier at AG Motors is responsible for handling all monetary transactions related to vehicle sales, trade‑ins, service and maintenance. This role ensures accurate record‑keeping, secure cash handling, and provides customer support for pricing and service inquiries.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily cash balances, reconcile cash and credit‑card transactions, and keep thorough transaction records.
- Process customer payments for new and trade‑in vehicles, as well as for service and maintenance work using cash, credit cards, or checks.
- Ensure safe custody of company assets, verify invoice accuracy, and record payments in accordance with accounting procedures.
- Release gate passes for vehicles after account clearance and manage vehicle VCC custody.
- Prepare and submit petty‑cash reports for reimbursement and support the finance officer in liaising with banks and insurance companies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding pricing and services, and provide necessary information to the back‑office team.
