Cashier – Customer Service & POS Operations

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, friendly, and detail‑oriented Cashier to manage customer transactions and support smooth daily operations. The role involves processing payments, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and delivering professional customer service in a busy retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process cash, card, and other approved payment methods accurately.
• Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations.
• Operate the POS system and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and maintain accurate cash balances.
• Process returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company procedures.
• Report cash shortages, excess amounts, or transaction discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Assist with end‑of‑day cash and transaction reports and coordinate with sales, accounts, and customer service teams.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Cashier, Sales Assistant, Retail Associate, or similar role is preferred.
• Basic mathematical and calculation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Honest, responsible, trustworthy with good customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, remaining professional during busy periods.

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Basic computer knowledge.
