Category Head – Dell

About the role

A seasoned Category Head is sought to lead and expand the Dell business across the Africa Cluster, based in Dubai. The role covers developing category strategies, driving revenue and profitability, strengthening vendor relationships and expanding market share.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Dell category business and take full P&L ownership, developing strategies for short- and long-term goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Dell and key customers across the region.
• Work with sales teams on product growth, market penetration, business planning and promotional programs.
• Identify new business opportunities, strengthen channel partnerships and expand the customer base.
• Develop and execute vendor-aligned business plans and commercial strategies.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and business results.
• Analyze market trends and competitive developments to find growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in technology distribution, category management or business leadership.
• Proven experience in vendor relationship management, sales and channel development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies and achieve financial targets.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of distribution, logistics and omnichannel business models is desirable.
