Category Manager – Private Labels (Amazon Now)

About the role

Amazon Now, the quick‑commerce arm of Amazon UAE, is seeking a Category Manager to lead the private‑label and white‑label portfolio, with a focus on fresh produce, perishables and grocery. You will act as the single‑threaded owner of the category, driving strategy, P&L performance and product selection in a sub‑15‑minute delivery model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for private‑label products, emphasizing fresh and perishable items.
• Identify new product opportunities, build business cases, P&L models and go‑to‑market plans.
• Lead end‑to‑end product development and commercialization through stage‑gate processes.
• Monitor competitive dynamics, pricing and market share, translating insights into actionable interventions.
• Manage relationships with co‑manufacturers, suppliers, research agencies and strategic partners.
• Track revenue, profitability and launch performance, recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare strategic documents and represent the category in senior leadership forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Marketing.
• 5+ years of FMCG experience in category development, product development, innovation or brand management.
• Proven track record of launching and commercialising new categories or products.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working with co‑manufacturers, suppliers and external strategic partners.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
