Catering and Events Manager

About the role

Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves is seeking a dynamic Catering and Events Manager to lead the sales and operational activities of its Events department. The successful candidate will drive revenue, ensure flawless event execution, and maintain strong relationships with internal sales teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor event production and adjust activities to meet planned goals.
• Plan, set objectives, and manage the Events Office to generate qualified leads.
• Develop and maintain active communication with Rotana sales offices and other sales sources.
• Handle all incoming group and banquet leads, including negotiation and contracting.
• Assess group business to maximize venue usage and achieve banqueting budgets.
• Yield leads, assign venues, and manage rate offers in line with policy.
• Maintain the Sales and Catering PMS according to company standards.
• Ensure all groups and events comply with company policies and standards.
• Determine discount rates in collaboration with revenue managers and communicate negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in sales or a related field.
• Strong commercial orientation with broad business understanding.
• Detail‑oriented “finisher” with the ability to drive solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competencies such as business understanding, influencing outcomes, planning, team building, valuing diversity, leadership, adaptability, results‑driven mindset, customer focus, and operations management.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency with Sales and Catering Property Management Systems (PMS).
