Certifying Engineer - Line Maintenance (B2)

About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a Certifying Engineer for line maintenance who will carry out and supervise maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft, focusing on avionics and electrical systems. The role covers inspections, troubleshooting, defect rectification and component replacement, and ensures all work is certified and recorded accurately and in time, in line with company procedures and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review task cards with the Maintenance Manager before starting work, then prepare and perform scheduled maintenance using the correct documentation, parts, tools and GSE.
• Carry out test and inspection tasks to identify and record defects, and troubleshoot and rectify them according to the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
• Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised, confirming that task cards and documents meet the required standard.
• Manage communication with other engineers and technicians, and supervise technicians on non-certifying tasks.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed, protect yourself and others, and manage human factors such as task continuity and handovers.
• Support other operational teams, represent Air Arabia professionally to flight crews and customers, and keep track of maintenance costs.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B2 licence, with company maintenance approvals on the Airbus A320; ability to obtain an unrestricted CAR 66 B2 category licence.
• Deep knowledge of airframe and engine systems maintenance.
• Good English for technical communication and good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to obtain a UAE driving licence.
• External applicants need at least 2 years certifying maintenance on the Airbus A320 family and at least 5 years in line maintenance.
