Chef de Partie - Pastry

About the role

The Chef de Partie – Pastry will work in the Westin Dubai Marina kitchen, preparing and cooking pastry items while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and safety. This full‑time position supports the culinary team by ensuring all pastry products are produced efficiently and consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store and wash fresh produce for pastry production.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients, and cook foods according to recipes and quality standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for doneness.
• Prepare cold foods and assemble pastries according to presentation standards.
• Set up and break down work stations, ensuring all tools are ready for service.
• Maintain workstation hygiene, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Monitor food temperature, ensure proper portioning and presentation, and follow safety policies.
• Follow company safety and security policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related pastry kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications needed.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation and cooking techniques in a pastry environment.
