Chief Accountant – Arabic Speaking Required

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant who is fluent in Arabic to lead its accounting function in Sharjah. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, audit compliance, and day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements and conduct financial analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and subsidiary accounts, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare documentation and ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations and company policies.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting and cost analysis to support strategic planning.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash flow and other daily accounting operations.
• Identify process improvements to reduce costs, enhance revenue and streamline internal financial procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial processes with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in a multi‑branch environment.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
