Chief Accountant – Healthcare Sector

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function within the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of all financial operations while guiding a team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and applicable regulations.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities during audits.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting and finance experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading an accounting team.
• Experience in medium to large organisations, preferably in a multinational or fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion ERP.
• Hands‑on expertise in GL, AP, and AR processes.
