Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to join the opening team of Radisson Hotel Fujairah. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for establishing robust accounting processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, guaranteeing timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
• Assist the Director of Finance in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, forecasts and related financial information.
• Manage the month‑end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
• Review and resolve balance‑sheet reconciliations and outstanding items promptly.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit and general ledger functions.
• Maintain effective financial controls across hotel operations in line with company policies.
• Support internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Previous hotel accounting experience, preferably as a Chief Accountant or in a similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel finance and accounting procedures.
• Good understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT, corporate tax and related financial regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
