Chief Accountant (Russian Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant who is fluent in Russian to lead our finance function in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and full compliance with UAE tax and accounting regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including VAT, P&L and balance sheet.
• Perform monthly budgeting and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Transfer accounting data to the outsourced accounting firm and support the annual audit.
• Approve and execute payments, manage bank inquiries and provide statements to management.
• Control VAT‑exempt transactions and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Calculate monthly payroll, process salary payments (WPS) and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Support audit processes and handle administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax and IFRS.
• Proficiency with Firstbit accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluent in Russian (C1) and English (B2).
