Chief Enterprise Architect - Smart Campus

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking a Chief Enterprise Architect to lead the end-to-end enterprise architecture for a major greenfield enterprise transformation programme in the UAE, working on-site. Operating at Senior Manager level, you will chair the programme Design Authority and own the target architecture, principles, standards and roadmap across enterprise applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity and smart campus technologies. You will lead a multidisciplinary architecture team, resolve cross-domain design decisions and advise client executives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the target architecture and transformation roadmap, define principles, standards, reference patterns and solution blueprints, and direct end-to-end solution design across smart campus, applications, integration, data, cloud, on-premises infrastructure, network and security.
• Lead platform selection and build-versus-buy decisions, and ensure architectural coherence across workstreams and delivery partners.
• Chair the Design Authority and Architecture Review Board, set review processes and approval criteria, govern architecture deliverables and requirements, and own programme-level architecture risks and dependencies.
• Oversee architecture across ERP, ECM, CRM, ITSM and custom applications, and define cross-domain integration principles.
• Lead architectural integration of smart campus, building management systems and IoT, and govern cloud and on-premises hosting architecture including compute, storage, networking and cybersecurity.
• Validate hardware sizing, capacity planning and non-functional requirements, and embed security and data protection into architecture decisions.
• Lead and mentor architects, establish the delivery cadence, review designs for engineering teams, and work in agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
• Advise client executives and programme leadership, manage vendor relationships, support bids, estimates, proposals and statements of work, and evaluate total cost of ownership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture, including substantial Chief Architect, Enterprise Architect or Design Authority leadership.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end architecture for large, complex enterprise transformation programmes and greenfield application and infrastructure environments.
• Experience with smart campus or smart city solutions, building management systems and IoT, and governing ERP, ECM, CRM, ITSM and custom applications.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary architects, managing vendors and influencing C-level stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience in higher education or complex institutional campuses, Master's degree, and experience in multi-vendor integration environments.

Required skills

• Strong cross-domain expertise in applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, network and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman, and agile and waterfall delivery approaches.
• Experience validating solution sizing, capacity planning and non-functional requirements.
