Chief Financial Officer – Logistics

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team of a large logistics operation in Papua New Guinea. This senior position will drive financial performance, governance and commercial stewardship across a diverse logistics business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership for the logistics business.
• Oversee finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and control activities.
• Act as a trusted financial and commercial advisor to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Drive profitability, cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
• Lead capital planning, investment evaluation and business case governance.
• Partner with operational leaders on fleet, infrastructure and asset investment decisions.
• Manage working capital, liquidity and cash‑flow discipline.
• Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, statutory compliance and risk management.
• Oversee internal and external audit requirements.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities such as acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.
• Develop financial dashboards, KPIs and management reporting.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team and support finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 12 years of senior financial leadership experience.
• Proven experience in financial management, commercial business partnering and investment governance.
