Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Banking & Financial Services

About the role

The bank is launching a bank‑wide digital transformation programme and needs a senior technology leader to define and execute its technology strategy. The Chief Technology Officer will balance modernising legacy core systems with delivering secure, scalable digital banking services in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the digital transformation of core banking, payments, treasury, risk, compliance and digital channels.
• Define a multi‑year technology roadmap aligned with business growth and UAE Central Bank regulations.
• Oversee modernisation of legacy platforms while ensuring service continuity.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, data protection and IT risk management.
• Partner with the CEO and executive committee to drive technology‑enabled change.
• Manage internal technology teams, strategic vendors and system integrators.
• Establish governance, architecture standards and delivery discipline.
• Own technology budgets, capital investment planning and vendor contracts.

Required profile

• Mandatory UAE banking experience within a regulated financial institution.
• Senior leadership experience as CTO, CIO or equivalent in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale digital transformation programmes.
• Hands‑on experience with traditional banking systems and digital banking platforms.
