Civil Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

DP World is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Facilities Management team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing the condition and performance of infrastructure across the company's facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site inspections to monitor infrastructure condition and identify maintenance needs.
• Develop and manage budgets for maintenance, renovation, and civil works projects.
• Monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Analyse and recommend cost-effective measures and savings related to civil works.
• Plan, implement, and maintain building infrastructure, including foundations, walls, roofs, roads, bridges, and walkways.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors on structural design and construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations and relevant codes.
• Manage energy consumption and safety processes within facilities.
• Analyse operational processes and resource allocation to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet organisational facility needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 4 years in UAE facilities management.
• Proven experience in civil engineering projects within a facilities management environment.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations, codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
