Civil Engineer – QA/QC

About the role

The company is seeking a Civil Engineer specialized in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) to ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications. You will work on‑site, coordinating with consultants, contractors and site engineers to guarantee high‑quality delivery of structural works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Verify that all site activities comply with approved drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Conduct material inspections and approvals for cement, steel, aggregates, concrete and related items.
• Review and verify material submittals, method statements and shop drawings.
• Raise, track and close Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Perform site quality inspections, prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
• Monitor concrete pouring, curing procedures and reinforcement placement.
• Witness field tests such as slump test, cube test and soil compaction test.
• Ensure calibration of testing equipment and compliance with ISO standards where applicable.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and support hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Ability to develop and implement Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Experience coordinating inspections with consultants, contractors and site engineers.
• Familiarity with handling NCRs and preparing quality documentation.

Required skills

• Material inspection and approval (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete).
• Concrete testing (slump, cube, curing monitoring).
• Soil compaction testing.
• Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) management.
• Calibration of testing equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards.
